Finding My Way -- Children Affected by Family Substance Use

This support group is for children ages 6-10 years of age who have been affected by alcohol and other substance use issues in their families. Topics and conversation will include: understanding the age appropriate effects of substance use on families, developing coping skills to improve self esteem, how to express feelings and building positive and healthy relationships.

411 Fall Forum

This workshop will educate and support caregivers with school-age children in issues facing today’s families. This month’s topic, meeting on Thursday, October 21st from 6:00-7:00 p.m., how to prepare for parent-teacher conferences to get the most out of meeting with your child’s teacher. Parent Information Network (PIN)

Drop in and meet with Lisa Reddie who is at the QFRC every Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Lisa is offering one-on-one support on navigating systems and finding supports for your child with mental health needs.

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren

This group meets each Thursday from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Come and meet other grandparents who are raising their grandchildren. Express the joys, challenges, and concerns and get advice from others who understand. Childcare provided. Drop in, no registration required.

This group meets each Friday from 10-11:30 a.m. to support mothers in recovery. It provides a space to talk about balancing recovery and motherhood with those who understand.
